Kaiwhakamaru Taiao | Biosecurity Consultant
Kaiarataki Matua | Senior Professional

I am experienced in planning, coordinating, and delivering complex biosecurity programmes across terrestrial, aquatic, and marine environments. I work on several projects, including the LINZ Biosecurity Control Programme, Top of the South Marine Biosecurity Partnership Coordination, and the Molesworth/Rangitahi Wilding Conifer Control Programme.

My work includes developing strategic management plans, operational plans, and technical reports for clients such as Toitū Te Whenua | Land Information New Zealand, Otago Regional Council and Environment Canterbury. I am also responsible for monthly and annual reporting to key stakeholders, managing and tracking project budgets, managing contractors, and identifying and mitigating project risks. My experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration has resulted in positive partnerships with government agencies, regional councils, environmental organisations, landholders, and community groups.

I have a strong interest in data management and have played a critical role in developing internal systems that enable Boffa Miskell to store, analyse and present data for multi-year projects.
