My passion and experience are in freshwater ecology and water quality, with skills in ecological monitoring, habitat surveying, data management and scientific report writing.

For my Bachelor’s research project, I assessed how instream conditions influenced by agriculture impacted the life history traits of Mayfly nymphs. Furthermore, I went on to complete a Master of Science in Ecology, researching the capacity of dissolved organic matter from native New Zealand plants to bind onto metal contaminants commonly found in stormwater.

My initial introduction to Boffa Miskell was through working as a fieldwork assistant, where I supported ecologists with surveying urban waterways, gaining experience in species identification and habitat surveying. Previously, I worked as a water quality assistant at the University of Canterbury, monitoring water quality and ecology in urban waterways and sample processing in the lab.

I am excited to contribute to a wide range of ecology projects and learn how to bring my experience and knowledge from the field into impactful outcomes. I am passionate about expanding my expertise in fish, macroinvertebrate and macrophyte ecology.
